Legacy Gold Mines Ltd. (TSXV: LEGY) reported August 26, 2026 that RC drill hole LG26-021 has extended the Main Zone at its Baner Gold Mine Property in Idaho County, Idaho to approximately 310m (1,020ft) in width — and pushed the demonstrated uphill reach of mineralization roughly 60m (197ft) beyond the previously reported limit.

The hole returned 0.67 g/t Au over 15.2m (50ft), including 2.0 g/t Au over 1.5m (5ft). A broader envelope came in at 0.39 g/t Au over 61.0m (200ft), starting just 15m (49.2ft) vertically below surface. Within that envelope, four individual 1.5m (5ft) intervals graded between 0.86 g/t and 2.41 g/t Au. These results are from the company's August 26, 2026 news release published on Junior Mining Network.

LG26-021 was drilled west. Per the August 26 news release, the company interprets it as extending mineralization approximately 260m (853ft) uphill and up-dip from a historic intersection of 0.93 g/t Au over 9.3m (30.5ft) in hole ICG2018-11. Compared with hole LG26-004 — which sat approximately 200m (656ft) uphill from that same reference point — LG26-021 adds a further approximately 60m (197ft) of uphill reach. The known Main Zone length stands at 1,000m (3,280ft).

"The mineralization is still open in all directions and is filling in, in keeping with our interpretation," said Mike Sutton, Legacy Gold's Director and Vice President, Exploration, in the August 26 news release.

The second hole reported in the same release, LG26-022, was not assigned specific assay intervals in the available source material and its results are not detailed here.

The 2026 drill program was structured in two phases: up to 12,000ft (3,658m) of core drilling in Phase 1, followed by up to 28,000ft (8,536m) of RC drilling in Phase 2, targeting the Main and Northeast Zones as well as new exploration targets to the northwest. LG26-021 and LG26-022 are Phase 2 holes.

Legacy holds an option to acquire a 100% undivided interest in the Baner project, which comprises 215 unpatented lode claims covering approximately 3,818 contiguous acres in Idaho County, Idaho, per the August 26 news release.

On the financials, the picture is incomplete. TipRanks data shows a market cap of C$8.52M and 18,530,025 shares outstanding, while Morningstar separately lists 26.55M shares outstanding as of April 6, 2026. The discrepancy between those two figures is unresolved in available sources, and the company's current cash position is not publicly available in the brief. The 52-week trading range for LEGY is C$0.30 to C$0.63.

For context on the broader tape Wednesday: gold fell to $4,624.29 USD per troy oz on August 26, down 0.73% from the prior session, per available market data. The S&P/TSX Venture Composite opened at 992.52 and traded in a range of 991.89 to 1,011.65 on August 26.

Sutton's statement that the Main Zone remains open in all directions is on the record; LG26-022 and subsequent Phase 2 holes, within a program sized at up to 28,000ft (8,536m) of RC drilling, will determine whether that interpretation holds.
